Please note as you consider these verses: The Bible here teaches the "end" Jesus told us to look forward to would not come until this "man of lawlessness" is revealed. Please consider additional information on the man of lawlessness [below quoted scriptures].
2 Thessalonians 2:2-3 ALT
(2) for you* not to be quickly shaken in mind nor to be disturbed, neither by spirit nor by word nor by letters as [written] by us, as [if] that Day of Christ has arrived.
(3) Let no one deceive you* by any means, because [that Day will not come] unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of destruction [or, the one destined to be lost],
2 Thessalonians 2:2-3 BBE
(2) That you may not be moved in mind or troubled by a spirit, or by a word, or by a letter as from us, with the suggestion that the day of the Lord is even now come;
(3) Give no belief to false words: because there will first be a falling away from the faith, and the revelation of the man of sin, the son of destruction,
2 Thessalonians 2:2-3 NWT
. . .not to be quickly shaken from your reason nor to be excited either through an inspired expression or through a verbal message or through a letter as though from us, to the effect that the day of Jehovah is here. 3 Let no one seduce you in any manner, because it will not come unless the apostasy comes first and the man of lawlessness gets revealed, the son of destruction.
2 Thessalonians 2:2-3 Darby
(2) that ye be not soon shaken in mind, nor troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter, as if it were by us, as that the day of the Lord is present.
(3) Let not any one deceive you in any manner, because it will not be unless the apostasy have first come, and the man of sin have been revealed, the son of perdition;
To have true faith, identifying the "Man Of Lawlessness" becomes very important for Christians. The fact the lawless man (or man of sin : the composite man comprising all those in opposition to Christ) must be revealed, implies he is hiding who he is. The Bible theme supports that idea. (2 Thessalonians 2:4-12) The Bible shows the man of lawlessness to be a composite of all the false Christian/religious organizations (and individuals) who do not have the identifying mark of love which Jesus said his true followers would have. (John 13:35) [If one does not recognize who they are, being eyewitness to the bad they do in the name of God can undermine faith.] Love can be feigned briefly and sporadically, but Jesus also said his followers would know truth. (John 8:31-47) You can not fake knowing truth. Either they teach what the Bible says, or they generate and adhere to their own doctrine. They can not do both. Know the truth and the truth will set you free of having your faith undermined by the man of lawlessness. (John 8:31-32) You will recognize him for what he truly is.
You need to learn and know what the Bible teaches to avoid being misled and overcome by this man of lawlessness. (Matthew 7:23) Learning what the Bible teaches is not difficult, and you should not let anyone convince you it is. You can start to place faith in Christ as God's means of salvation immediately, (1 Peter 1:3) but becoming a mature Christian is a lifelong project. (Hebrews 6:1) It is not difficult, but it is a serious commitment. [Sticking to that commitment, sometimes against fleshly desires, can be difficult. It is our own desire that will make it difficult. (James 1:14) We can have control over that desire by learning to love what our Father loves through his word the Bible.] Learning and applying Bible truth is also the only source of true happiness, and nothing will bring you more joy! (John 15:11-15) What ever it is you believe will bring you more joy is a lie of satan. Knowing and having a relationship with our Father through his son Christ Jesus will bring us more joy than any other thing.

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
The Translations we quote are:
ALT - Analytical Literal Translation
