••• You should recognize and know "and use" God's Hebrew Name! It is יהוה and sounds like to English speakers... God Himself wrote with his own finger on stone tablets He then gave to Moses. (Exo 31:18) Using the Diving Name of our Creator is a uniting force in this divided world! •••

Isaiah 13:6-9 MWT . . .“Howl, YOU people, for the day of יהוה is near! As a despoiling from the Almighty it will come. 7 That is why all hands themselves will go limp, and the heart itself of mortal man will melt. 8 And people have become disturbed. Convulsions and birth pains themselves grab hold; like a woman that is giving birth they have labor pains. They look at each other in amazement. Their faces will burn with shame. 9 “Look! The day of יהוה itself is coming, cruel both with fury and with burning anger, in order to make the land an object of astonishment, and that it may annihilate [the land’s] sinners out of it.

Isaiah 13:6-9 MKJV . . .Howl! For the day of Jehovah  (יהוה) is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty. (7) Therefore all hands shall be faint, and every man's heart shall melt; (8) and they shall be afraid. Pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them. They shall be in pain like a woman who travails. They shall be amazed at one another, their faces like flames. (9) Behold, the day of Jehovah  (יהוה) comes, cruel and with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land waste; and He shall destroy its sinners out of it.

Isaiah 13:6-9 GNB . . .Howl in pain! The day of the LORD  (יהוה) is near, the day when the Almighty brings destruction. (7) Everyone's hands will hang limp, and everyone's courage will fail. (8) They will all be terrified and overcome with pain, like the pain of a woman in labor. They will look at each other in fear, and their faces will burn with shame. (9) The day of the LORD  (יהוה) is coming---that cruel day of his fierce anger and fury. The earth will be made a wilderness, and every sinner will be destroyed.

Isaiah 13:6-9 LITV . . .Howl! For the day of Jehovah  (יהוה) is at hand. It shall come as a destruction from the Almighty. (7) On account of this all hands shall droop, and every heart of man shall melt; (8) and they shall be afraid. Pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain like one giving birth; they shall be amazed, each man to his neighbor; faces of flames shall be their faces. (9) Behold, the day of Jehovah  (יהוה) comes, cruel and with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land waste. And He shall destroy its sinners out of it.

Isaiah 13:6-9 ESV . . .Wail, for the day of the LORD  (יהוה) is near; as destruction from the Almighty it will come! (7) Therefore all hands will be feeble, and every human heart will melt. (8) They will be dismayed: pangs and agony will seize them; they will be in anguish like a woman in labor. They will look aghast at one another; their faces will be aflame. (9) Behold, the day of the LORD  (יהוה) comes, cruel, with wrath and fierce anger, to make the land a desolation and to destroy its sinners from it.

Isaiah 13:6-9 BBE . . .Send out a cry of grief; for the day of the Lord is near; it comes as destruction from the Most High. (7) For this cause all hands will be feeble, and every heart of man be turned to water; (8) Their hearts will be full of fear; pains and sorrows will overcome them; they will be in pain like a woman in childbirth; they will be shocked at one another; their faces will be like flames. (9) See, the day of the Lord is coming, cruel, with wrath and burning passion: to make the land a waste, driving the sinners in it to destruction.

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
