••• You should recognize and know "and use" God's Hebrew Name! It is יהוה and sounds like to English speakers... God Himself wrote with his own finger on stone tablets He then gave to Moses. (Exo 31:18) Using the Diving Name of our Creator is a uniting force in this divided world! •••

Zephaniah 1:12-2:4 MWT ...I'll search Jerusalem [all those claiming to worship God] with lamps to punish those people who sit there unworried while saying, "יהוה won't do anything, good or bad." (13) Their possessions will be taken, their homes left in ruins. They won't get to live in the houses they build, or drink wine from the grapes in their own vineyards. (14) The great day of יהוה is coming soon, very soon. On that terrible day, fearsome cries of mighty warriors will be heard everywhere. (15) It will be a time of anger-- of trouble and torment, of disaster and destruction, of darkness and despair, of storm clouds and shadows, (16) of trumpet calls and battle cries against fortified cities and mighty fortresses. (17) יהוה warns everyone who has sinned against him, "I'll strike you blind! Then your blood and your insides will gush out like vomit. (18) Not even your silver or gold can save you on that day when I, יהוה, am angry. My anger will flare up like a furious fire scorching the earth and everyone on it."
Zephaniah 2:1-4 MWT ...You disgraceful nation, gather around, (2) before it's too late. יהוה has set a time when his fierce anger will strike like a storm and sweep you away. (3) If you humbly obey יהוה, then come and worship him. If you do right and are humble, perhaps you will be safe on that day when יהוה turns loose his anger. (4) Gaza and Ashkelon will be deserted and left in ruins...

Zephaniah 1:12-2:14 ESV ...At that time I will search Jerusalem with lamps, and I will punish the men who are complacent, those who say in their hearts, 'The LORD  (יהוה) will not do good, nor will he do ill.' (13) Their goods shall be plundered, and their houses laid waste. Though they build houses, they shall not inhabit them; though they plant vineyards, they shall not drink wine from them." (14) The great day of the LORD  (יהוה) is near, near and hastening fast; the sound of the day of the LORD  (יהוה) is bitter; the mighty man cries aloud there. (15) A day of wrath is that day, a day of distress and anguish, a day of ruin and devastation, a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and thick darkness, (16) a day of trumpet blast and battle cry against the fortified cities and against the lofty battlements. (17) I will bring distress on mankind, so that they shall walk like the blind, because they have sinned against the LORD  (יהוה); their blood shall be poured out like dust, and their flesh like dung. (18) Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them on the day of the wrath of the LORD  (יהוה). In the fire of his jealousy, all the earth shall be consumed; for a full and sudden end he will make of all the inhabitants of the earth.
Zephaniah 2:1-4 ESV ...Gather together, yes, gather, O shameless nation, (2) before the decree takes effect --before the day passes away like chaff-- before there comes upon you the burning anger of the LORD  (יהוה), before there comes upon you the day of the anger of the LORD  (יהוה). (3) Seek the LORD  (יהוה), all you humble of the land, who do his just commands; seek righteousness; seek humility; perhaps you may be hidden on the day of the anger of the LORD  (יהוה). (4) For Gaza shall be deserted, and Ashkelon shall become a desolation; Ashdod's people shall be driven out at noon, and Ekron shall be uprooted...

Zephaniah 1:12-2:4 GNB ..."At that time I will take a lamp and search Jerusalem. I will punish the people who are self-satisfied and confident, who say to themselves, 'The LORD  (יהוה) never does anything, one way or the other.' (13) Their wealth will be looted and their houses destroyed. They will never live in the houses they are building or drink wine from the vineyards they are planting." (14) The great day of the LORD  (יהוה) is near---very near and coming fast! That day will be bitter, for even the bravest soldiers will cry out in despair! (15) It will be a day of fury, a day of trouble and distress, a day of ruin and destruction, a day of darkness and gloom, a black and cloudy day, (16) a day filled with the sound of war trumpets and the battle cry of soldiers attacking fortified cities and high towers. (17) The LORD  (יהוה) says, "I will bring such disasters on the human race that everyone will grope about like someone blind. They have sinned against me, and now their blood will be poured out like water, and their dead bodies will lie rotting on the ground." (18) On the day when the LORD  (יהוה) shows his fury, not even all their silver and gold will save them. The whole earth will be destroyed by the fire of his anger. He will put an end---a sudden end---to everyone who lives on earth.
Zephaniah 2:1-4 GNB ...Shameless nation, come to your senses (2) before you are driven away like chaff blown by the wind, before the burning anger of the LORD  (יהוה) comes upon you, before the day when he shows his fury. (3) Turn to the LORD  (יהוה), all you humble people of the land, who obey his commands. Do what is right, and humble yourselves before the LORD  (יהוה). Perhaps you will escape punishment on the day when the LORD  (יהוה) shows his anger. (4) No one will be left in the city of Gaza. Ashkelon will be deserted. The people of Ashdod will be driven out in half a day, and the people of Ekron will be driven from their city...

Zephaniah 1:12-2:4 NWT ...“And it must occur at that time that I shall carefully search Jerusalem with lamps, and I will give attention to the men who are congealing upon their dregs [and] who are saying in their heart, ‘Jehovah will not do good, and he will not do bad.’ 13 And their wealth must come to be for pillage and their houses for a desolate waste. And they will build houses, but they will not have occupancy; and they will plant vineyards, but they will not drink the wine of them. 14 “The great day of Jehovah is near. It is near, and there is a hurrying [of it] very much. The sound of the day of Jehovah is bitter. There a mighty man is letting out a cry. 15 That day is a day of fury, a day of distress and of anguish, a day of storm and of desolation, a day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick gloom, 16 a day of horn and of alarm signal, against the fortified cities and against the high corner towers. 17 And I will cause distress to mankind, and they will certainly walk like blind men; because it is against Jehovah that they have sinned. And their blood will actually be poured out like dust, and their bowels like the dung. 18 Neither their silver nor their gold will be able to deliver them in the day of Jehovah’s fury; but by the fire of his zeal the whole earth will be devoured, because he will make an extermination, indeed a terrible one, of all the inhabitants of the earth.”
2:1 Gather yourselves together, yes, do the gathering, O nation not paling in shame. 2 Before [the] statute gives birth to [anything], [before the] day has passed by just like chaff, before there comes upon YOU people the burning anger of Jehovah, before there comes upon YOU the day of Jehovah’s anger, 3 seek Jehovah, all YOU meek ones of the earth, who have practiced His own judicial decision. Seek righteousness, seek meekness. Probably YOU may be concealed in the day of Jehovah’s anger. 4 For, as regards Ga´za, an abandoned [city] is what she will become; and Ash´ke·lon is to be a desolate waste. . .

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
