Revelation 19:17-20:10 and "Time" in Bible prophecy: Scriptures below note.
••• Note: The Bible prophecies revealed in these and other Bible verses may not be in chronological order.
[The Bible gives me faith I am among those living forever (John 11:25-26) and I see Armageddon as our deliverance. Armageddon is a good thing for those who love the Lord! But as I try to have faith, I don't have the background the angels who have had eons of time (millions or billions or... of years) seeing God's creative works fulfilled; seeing every single thing God said He was going to do, done; including the creation of humans. (Gen 1:26-28) That would include them having been there among all the angels who cired out in joy of God's human creation. (Job 38:7 of 1-7)]
Those who live forever, and have already lived a very long time, do not view time as we do. These prophetic scriptures may be their relating of snapshots of parts of then future events [which they would view as one large event from the time of the prophecy's utterance to now, and were glimpses provided them from that then future event, to share with us, even though it's only actually happening now, thousands of years later in our day in time]. They might not have much consideration for the order of those events happening; since time would have no real meaning to such angels. They likely view everything God says will happen, as already done. They were just being helped by God to foresee glimpses of what "would" happen in our future. They were simply being given little glimpses into that future; but not like fast forwarding to the end of a movie. God was simply showing them what He was causing to become among his human free moral sons and daughters, among those who have chosen to become friends and brothers and sisters of Christ. (John 15:11-16; Mark 3:31-35; Luke 8:19-21)

The period of time Satan was cast down to the earth may have been what we now refer to as the Dark Ages when Christianity was nearly destroyed. His being abyssed to the period to follow, when Protestants were used by God to break mankind free of the roughly thousand year horrible reign of the Dark Ages Church, during which time the Roman church empire tortured and slaughtered untold numbers of Christians, asserting them to be apostates and heretics. Today, the nations are once again totally deceived as to truth, and now, are gathered to Armageddon. •••

Revelation 19:17-21 & 20:1-10 CEV . . .(17) I then saw an angel standing on the sun, and he shouted to all the birds flying in the sky, "Come and join in God's great feast [Armageddon]! (18) You can eat the flesh of kings, rulers, leaders, horses, riders, free people, slaves, important people, and everyone else." (19) I also saw the beast and all kings of the earth come together. They fought against the rider on the white horse and against his army. (20) But the beast was captured and so was the false prophet. This is the same prophet who had worked miracles for the beast, so that he could fool everyone who had the mark of the beast and worshiped the idol. The beast and the false prophet were thrown alive into a lake of burning sulfur. (21) But the rest of their army was killed by the sword that came from the mouth of the rider on the horse. Then birds stuffed themselves on the dead bodies.
Revelation 20:1-10 CEV . . .I saw an angel come down from heaven, carrying the key to the deep pit and a big chain. (2) He chained the dragon for a thousand years. It is that old snake, who is also known as the devil and Satan. (3) Then the angel threw the dragon into the pit. He locked and sealed it, so that a thousand years would go by before the dragon could fool the nations again. But after that, it would have to be set free for a little while. (4) I saw thrones, and sitting on those thrones were the ones who had been given the right to judge. I also saw the souls of the people who had their heads cut off because they had told about Jesus and preached God's message. They were the same ones who had not worshiped the beast or the idol, and they had refused to let its mark be put on their hands or foreheads [control what they thought and did]. They will come to life and rule with Christ for a thousand years. (5) These people are the first to be raised to life, and they are especially blessed and holy. The second death has no power over them. They will be priests for God and Christ and will rule with them for a thousand years. No other dead people were raised to life until a thousand years later. (6) (SEE 20:5) (7) At the end of the thousand years, Satan will be set free. (8) He will fool the countries of Gog and Magog, which are at the far ends of the earth, and their people will follow him into battle. They will have as many followers as there are grains of sand along the beach, (9) and they will march all the way across the earth. They will surround the camp of God's people and the city that his people love. But fire will come down from heaven and destroy the whole army. (10) Then the devil who fooled them will be thrown into the lake of fire and burning sulfur. He will be there with the beast and the false prophet, and they will be in pain day and night forever and ever.
Revelation 19:17-20:10 GNB . . .(17) Then I saw an angel standing on the sun. He shouted in a loud voice to all the birds flying in midair: "Come and gather together for God's great feast! [Armageddon] (18) Come and eat the flesh of kings, generals, and soldiers, the flesh of horses and their riders, the flesh of all people, slave and free, great and small!" (19) Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered to fight against the one who was riding the horse and against his army. (20) The beast was taken prisoner, together with the false prophet who had performed miracles in his presence. (It was by those miracles that he had deceived those who had the mark of the beast and those who had worshiped the image of the beast.) The beast and the false prophet were both thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur. (21) Their armies were killed by the sword that comes out of the mouth of the one who was riding the horse; and all the birds ate all they could of their flesh.
Revelation 20:1-10 GNB . . .Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding in his hand the key of the abyss and a heavy chain. (2) He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent---that is, the Devil, or Satan---and chained him up for a thousand years. (3) The angel threw him into the abyss, locked it, and sealed it, so that he could not deceive the nations any more until the thousand years were over. After that he must be set loose for a little while. (4) Then I saw thrones, and those who sat on them were given the power to judge. I also saw the souls of those who had been executed because they had proclaimed the truth that Jesus revealed and the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or its image, nor had they received the mark of the beast on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and ruled as kings with Christ for a thousand years. (5) (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were over.) This is the first raising of the dead. (6) Happy and greatly blessed are those who are included in this first raising of the dead. The second death has no power over them; they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and they will rule with him for a thousand years. (7) After the thousand years are over, Satan will be set loose from his prison, (8) and he will go out to deceive the nations scattered over the whole world, that is, Gog and Magog. Satan will bring them all together for battle, as many as the grains of sand on the seashore. (9) They spread out over the earth and surrounded the camp of God's people and the city that he loves. But fire came down from heaven and destroyed them. (10) Then the Devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had already been thrown; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
Revelation 19:17-21 BBE . . .(17) And I saw an angel taking his place in the sun; and he was crying with a loud voice, saying to all the birds in flight in the heavens, Come together to the great feast of God; [Armageddon] (18) So that you may take for your food the flesh of kings, and of captains, and of strong men, and of horses and of those who are seated on them, and the flesh of all men, free and unfree, small and great. (19) And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, come together to make war against him who was seated on the horse and against his army. (20) And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet who did the signs before him, by which they were turned from the true way who had the mark of the beast, and who gave worship to his image: these two were put living into the sea of ever-burning fire. (21) And the rest were put to death with the sword of him who was on the horse, even the sword which came out of his mouth: and all the birds were made full with their flesh.
Revelation 20:1-10 BBE . . .And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key of the great deep and a great chain in his hand. (2) And he took the dragon, the old snake, which is the Evil One and Satan, and put chains on him for a thousand years, (3) And put him into the great deep, and it was shut and locked over him, so that he might put the nations in error no longer, till the thousand years were ended: after this he will be let loose for a little time. (4) And I saw high seats, and they were seated on them, and the right of judging was given to them: and I saw the souls of those who were put to death for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and those who did not give worship to the beast, or to his image, and had not his mark on their brows or on their hands; and they were living and ruling with Christ a thousand years. (5) The rest of the dead did not come to life again till the thousand years were ended. This is the first coming back from the dead. (6) Happy and holy is he who has a part in this first coming: over these the second death has no authority, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and will be ruling with him a thousand years. (7) And when the thousand years are ended, Satan will be let loose out of his prison, (8) And will go out to put in error the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to get them together to the war, the number of whom is like the sands of the sea. (9) And they went up over the face of the earth, and made a circle about the tents of the saints, and the well loved town: and fire came down out of heaven for their destruction. (10) And the Evil One who put them in error was sent down into the sea of ever-burning fire, where the beast and the false prophet are, and their punishment will go on day and night for ever and ever.

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
